Aslı Öztürk // Agile Team Member
My first encounter with HEY! was when I was doing research on Allianz during my job application and stumbled upon HEY! Allianz.
Thanks to the articles on the website, my husband and I learned in a fun way how agility works while involving family members in housework, doing sports, learning a language or organizing a wedding. How? Read below.
The website, which immediately attracted my attention with its dynamic structure, has many entertaining and instructive articles and videos about agile working that appeal to everyone The article titled "Being Agile in the Daily Life", which I came across while browsing through the pages, has paved the way for me to do business by using this method in my home life with the sentence "Agile working method can come to your aid when you hear yourself saying 'How can I handle all this work?' in daily life."
I was able to imagine the working environment in the company, the interaction of people and the way things went, with the effect of what I read here before starting the company, and I made the right decision and joined the Allianz family.
Life moves really fast. It can be difficult for people to be happy and keep their motivation high at this pace. Allianz is a company that is constantly working to support its employees in keeping these two concepts in balance. I saw it clearly after I joined its organization.
So, what does it mean to work agile in this company?
I would like to share some of my observations after joining the company.
First of all, the self-organization of teams gives people great freedom. Thus, you can present your roadmap in the best way to express yourself.
As long as you can keep warm relations with Dailys, you can stay in line with the whole team during the pandemic process that forced us to work remotely. In addition, you have good moments where pleasant conversations are made and the value given to people is understood.
In Sprint Reviews, the solidarity felt when transferring the works that we produced in the sprint or that we could not produce for some reason to the whole team is completely different.
It is also an invaluable feeling that the team works hard to reduce the unknowns in Refinements.
Sprint Retrospectives are the best way to review everything that happened during the sprint.
I believe that a pleasant and peaceful work environment comes from overcoming the obstacles we experience in business processes together. Thus, we will benefit by producing efficiently and happily.
As a member of Generation Y, I think we are very open to innovations because we grew up with technology. We all know that in order for people in Generation Y and Generation Z to work happily at work, companies should help them find the answer to the question "What's in it for me?", care about their private lives, and encourage a feedback culture.
At this point, HEY! is on our side as Fast , Efficient and Empowered (Hızlı, Etkili & Yetkili).
I am very happy to be a part of this transformation that offers a people-oriented, fun and independent working culture.
